Located immediately next to Columbus Lake on the Tenn-Tom Waterway, the Dewayne Hayes Recreation Area & Campground has 100 sites with electric and water hookups and 10 primitive sites. The campground provides convenient access to the waterway and there is ample opportunity for fishing, boating, or spending the day hiking and sightseeing along the banks of the river. Kids will love the day-use Spray Park.

The Tenn-Tom Waterway Transportation Museum highlights the uniqueness of the Waterway with its extensive lock and dam system, and incorporates artifacts from rail and highway transportation. Visitors to the museum include tourists, school groups, researchers, citizens and their families, along with civic and cultural groups.
