DESCRIPTION:Traditions\, Taste and Tunes is a meaningful Memorial Day weekend tradition in Columbus\, Mississippi\, bringing the community together for a blend of remembrance\, celebration\, and small-town charm. \nThe weekend begins Friday morning with the dedication of a WWI Memorial at the Courthouse at 10 a.m. That evening\, the Riverwalk Stage comes alive from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. with live music by Artistic Band\, creating a lively backdrop for an evening along the water. Guests can enjoy a variety of food vendors\, family-friendly kids’ activities\, and a special flyover that adds a patriotic touch to the evening’s festivities. \nOn Saturday\, the spirit of remembrance continues as the American Legion places flags at Friendship Cemetery at 9:00 a.m.\, followed by a ceremony at 11:00 a.m. honoring the sacrifices of service members. \nWhether you’re gathering with family\, enjoying live music by the river\, or taking part in time-honored traditions\, Traditions\, Taste and Tunes offers a heartfelt and memorable way to spend Memorial Day weekend in Columbus. \nEvents: \nFriday\, 9 am – Placement of Flags at Sandfield Cemetery \nFriday\, 11 am – Dedication of WWI Memorial\nFriday\, 4:00-7:00 pm – Live music\, food\, and kids activities at the Riverwalk Stage\nSaturday\, 8:00-11:00 am – Placement of flags at Friendship Cemetery\, followed by a ceremony honoring the sacrifices of our armed forces
