U.S. Army Corps of Engineers

For 170 years the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers members have been “nation builders” as well as nation defenders.  A major part of this mission has been developing and managing water resources in the public interest.  Indeed, the hydrologic landscape of the United States has been transformed by locks, dams, reservoirs, canals, levees, dikes, and other features of the Corps Rivers and Harbors mission.
