The project has won the Governor’s Award for Excellence in the Arts and been named a national finalist by the History Channel for the Save Our History Classroom Award. The project has also been featured nationally by National Public Radio\, Turner Broadcasting\, The New York Times\, The Atlantic\, Garden & Gun\, and a host of other regional publications.
